The text that runs through this work, was penned around 1000 BC by middle eastern monarch, King David. It is from Psalm 139 and reads—
“You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
The tiny words were written to mimic the contours of the hand in its complexity and wonder.
